Dear Agency Principal:
Over the years Agency Management Roundtable has developed several groups made up of owners, much like you. These groups meet semi-annually when they share and exchange ideas over the course of a few days. The network members always seem to walk away with new energy and practical information that is applied at the agency for smoother operations, new business programs and increased profitability. We have recruited members from those who participated in our Management Roundtable programs.
Now, you can have this same experience with our Success Strategies Group meetings. The agenda for the two days is as follows:
Thursday, October 21st
Travel to Phoenix. Fly into Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport. Get settled at the hotel. Meet for no host refreshments at 6:00 p.m. Look for the Group sign. When you check in, pick up your envelope at the registration desk. Agenda, attendee list and breakfast vouchers, plus any last minute instructions are enclosed.
Friday, October 22nd
7:30 a.m. – Breakfast – Use your breakfast vouchers. Look for the Group tables, introduce yourself and get acquainted.
8:30 a.m. – The changing agency business model and making a profit in the “new normal” environment. Dave Wood will discuss with you what is happening to small agencies and how to capitalize on the changes. His association with AMRNetwork members and his 20 years as a small agency consultant will give you some suggestions on reaching the next level.
9:30 a.m. – Agency Reports. Introduce your agency. Tell the group about your biggest challenges and how you are managing them. What are you doing in social media and on-line marketing? You have the floor for 10 minutes to tell us about yourself and the agency.
12:30 p.m. – Networking Lunch. Get to know your fellow principals and talk shop.
2:00 to 4:30 p.m. – The BIG Idea – an idea gathering session that will give you 20 new ideas and resources. Each attendee will share, in a 10 minute presentation, a BIG Idea you can take with you. These can be anything from a new process they have developed to a new on-line resource or software that will help you build your business.
7:00 p.m. – Dinner at Los Olivos. Be AMR’s guest for dinner at one of the top Mexican Restaurants where the margaritas are smooth and cool and the music is south of the border.
Saturday, October 23rd
7:30 a.m. – Breakfast – Use your breakfast vouchers. Look for the Group tables and participate in the discussion.
8:30 a.m. – Challenges – Bring your most pressing problem to the table. Tell us the situation and what you have done to try to resolve it. This can be anything from a problem employee, new business development, or changes in staffing or systems. Anything is fair game.
12:00 p.m. – Lunch on your own.
1:30 to 4:00 p.m. – The six building blocks that need special attention as you grow your agency. Dave Wood will present successful growth strategies.
I hope you are able to participate in the October Success Strategies Group in Scottsdale. Reservations are on a first-come, first-served basis and are restricted on a geographic basis to avoid conflicts. Register quickly if you are interested in attending.
